Do I need an account?+
Yes. To play you need a free Projekt Bremen account and an activated key. Activation runs through Discord.
I paid – where is my access?+
Sign in to BusdriverMP once more. The key is fetched at sign-in rather than polled, so if the launcher was open while you bought, you will only see it after signing in again. With direct debit and bank transfer the payment takes a few days to confirm; after that it happens automatically. If access still does not appear, ask on Discord.
Do I need Patreon to buy?+
Patreon is needed for paying by PayPal, because the current payment provider does not support it. If you have Patreon, sign in to the launcher and connect your Patreon account — your key is then assigned automatically. Once assigned, a Patreon key stays yours even if the membership becomes inactive.
What does the Projekt Bremen launcher do?+
It installs BusdriverMP, keeps it updated automatically and brings news and downloads along. The game is started from the launcher.
Do I need my own copy of OMSI 2?+
Yes. BusdriverMP is an add-on, not a replacement — every player needs OMSI 2 installed (Steam or retail).
I am connected, but nobody sees me.+
Usually OMSI 2 and BusdriverMP are running with different privileges. The client does attach, but it is not allowed to read OMSI's memory — so it has no position to send. Start both the same way, easiest both without administrator: for omsi.exe and for the launcher, under Properties › Compatibility, clear “Run this program as an administrator”.
How does the radio work?+
It is built into BusdriverMP — no extra program needed. Hold the talk key (default: F8) and everyone driving the same map in the same session hears you, whatever the distance. Dispatch is called by fleet number from the radio window (F6) and answers everyone on its map.
Which buses are supported?+
The current list is on the bus page - it shows what is transmitted for each vehicle.
Does every map work?+
Yes, every map is playable — vehicle positions are synchronised. All drivers just need the same map version. Organised service takes place in Bremen.
Does BusdriverMP cost anything?+
The account is free. Access to multiplayer costs a one-off €5.95 during the introductory phase, and a one-off €8.95 from 15 October 2026. Either way it is a one-off – no subscription, nothing to renew. Anyone who supported on Patreon keeps their access for good.
